After all, Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen has denied divisions within Jubilee party, a week after sensationally claiming so.
But after word emerged that State House could be plotting his ouster for undermining President Uhuru Kenyatta, the Elgeyo-Marakwet senator has dismissed divisions within the ruling party.
On Wednesday, Kipchumba chaired Rift Valley Parliamentary caucus where he denied undermining the president.
"The Jubilee party is intact and strong. There are no divisions whatsoever and everything is running well.
"I think someone misquoted me. The issue is, those guys trying to create divisions are just outsiders. These are people who are not even in government," he said.
In recent weeks, a faction allied to DP William Ruto has openly criticised Office of the President for allegedly plotting to block the DP in 2022.
At the intense meeting in Weston, Murkomen also survived ouster as caucus chairman after Ruto reportedly intervened.
