Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa has ironically congratulated Information Communication Technology (ICT) Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru following his recent appointment of the Postal Corporation of Kenya board members.
In a tweet on Sunday, Barasa, a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto said the appointments had met regional balance.
This is despite the fact that the said board members seemed to be from one region.
"Congratulations Joe Mucheru the appointments below meets regional balance and all tribes of Kenya were well considered. Keep up. Am watching brief for the hustler Nation." tweeted the MP.
The legislator also noted that the appointments were fruits of the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
"This are your fruits Raila Odinga i read today's standard that quoted your commitment to fighting for Ethnicity and regional balance you are an Icon. From the appointing authority to board members, it speaks for itself. What an irony (sic)," reads the MP's second tweet.
On Thursday, the ICT CS through a Gazette notice appointed Mike Rubia, Fred Gachie Ng'ang'a, Munyua Waiyaki, Simon Kiuta and Pauline Mutangani as board members of the Postal Corporation of Kenya.
