President Uhuru Kenyatta has removed billionaire businessman Chris Kirubi as the Non-Executive Chairperson of Brand Kenya board.
In a Gazette notice dated July 13, 2018, the entrepreneur who has been ailing, was replaced by former Nation Media Group CEO Linus Gitahi.
Another prominent Kenyan who lost his job in the Friday's shake-up is former Head of Public Service Francis Muthaura who was the LAPSSET Corridor Development Authority, Chairperson.
Muthaura, who was recently appointed as the Chairman of Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) board, was replaced by Titus Ibui.
Lawyer and former Meru senate aspirant Mugambi Imanyara appointment as the Chairperson of National Standards was also revoked.
Others to lose their influential posts include Sofia Abdi Noor and Pradeep Paunrana.

9. Samuel Mwongera Arachi- Tana and Athi Rivers Development Authority.
10. Immanuel Ichor Imana- Kenya International Convention Centre Board.
11. Linus Gitahi- Brand Kenya Board.
12. Regina Ndambuki- National Government Affirmative Action Fund.
13. Titus Ibui- LAPSSET Corridor Development Authority.
14. Joe Owaka Ager- Placement Board for the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).
15. Jackson Kiptanui- Kerio Valley Development Authority.
16. Flora Mutahi- Anti-Counterfeit Agency Board.
