Kisii County commissioner Godfrey Kigochi has dismissed claims that he has barred the flamboyant business and ODM party leader Raila Odinga's ally Don Bosco Gichana from holding his grand return at Gusii stadium on Friday.
The county security boss said Mr. Gichana should not drag him around.
"I have never communicated with Bosco. There is no communication I have issued to stop Bosco from accessing Gusii stadium or set addressing members of the public," he said.
Mr. Kigochi warned politicians to stop involving him in political issues because he is not a politician.
"I am not seeking any political seat and I don't know why people should drag me into this issue. I am urging Bosco to write to the police before he can be allowed to access Kisii with his planned grand return. Personally, I don't know Bosco," noted Kigochi.
According to him, anyone planning for an event involving the public should get permission so that his office can deploy officers to provide security.
"Goons may take advantage of the rally to commit a crime in any event where police officers will not guard. It is advisable for anyone planning to engage the public to ensure there is security at the event," he added.
