Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho has promised singer Bahati that he is going to support the launch of his new album that is yet to take place in Mombasa.
Bahati and Joho met in Mombasa, when the 'mama' hitmaker was on a vacation at the coast.
Joho says that he is ready to support Bahati's new album launch and his intention is to mainly support Kenyan music and also artists.
The governor is one of the leaders that has shown his interest in music and art by making contact with artists such as Willy Paul, Alikiba and many others.
This even comes after a few weeks late last year, when he settled Tanzanian Ommy Dimpoz's hospital bills in Germany.
In an Instagram post by Bahati, he said, "SULTAN Governor @joho_001 has Just Confirmed that #BAHATIALBUMLAUNCH will be Happening in Mombasa 💪💪💪 Thank You for Supporting Kenyan Music #Playkenyanmusic 🇰🇪"
Previously, Bahati promised his fans that 2019 is the year he is going to prove that he is truly the Kenyan star-boy.
However, it is not clear when the album is going to be launched, but most probably, it is going to be launched in Mombasa.
It seems like the Kenyan music is starting to get support and this is more than what is yet to be expected with 2019.
