Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has hit out at top lawyers allied to the opposition for offering legal services to the embattled Deputy Chief Justice Philemona Mwilu.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Sudi a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto named 12 lawyers, a majority being opposition legislators whom he said were defending ‘corrupt’ deputy CJ in court.
The Jubilee MP said the move by the lawyers was a clear indication that the fight against corruption was targeted at some individuals.
“…all defending the corrupt Philomena Mwilu this is a clear indication that the fight against corruption by Raila's wing is aimed at some individuals,” reads part of the MP’s Facebook post.
“It has reached a time in Kenya where the only corrupt individuals are Ruto and Co, and any other corrupt individual and against Ruto is not corrupt,” added the two-time legislator.

Among the lawyers named by Sudi include, Senators James Orengo and Mutula Kilonzo as well as MP’s Peter Kaluma, Milly Odhiambo, Dan Maanzo and Anthony Oluoch.
Mwilu is expected to be back in court Wednesday for the case in which she is facing at least 10 charges that include misuse of public office and failure to pay taxes.
