Police in Machakos County have launched a manhunt for a man accused of assaulting and seriously injuring his wife on Tuesday.
The woman is nursing injuries at a local health facility after the man allegedly chopped off her ears.
She was reportedly attacked by the man and his brother, in an ordeal that saw both her ears sliced off using a sharp knife.
This was after she reportedly gave away her husband who had stolen 11 goats which had gone missing on Monday, according to Kitololo village manager Peter Mailu Musembi.
Musembi said that residents were alerted by the woman's wails after the ordeal, before coming to her rescue, only to find her bleeding from the wounds, reports the Citizen Digital.
