Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i has finally given in to pressure piled on him by constituents over the allocation of CDF funds.
The MP allied to Jubilee Party on Wednesday issued Sh27, 820,000 bursaries.
"I'm committed in supporting our learners through fair distribution of our Bursary's Funds so that they can continue acquiring necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes that will strengthen confidence for their future success," he said.
The lawmaker issued NG-CDF Bursary Fund cheques to college and university students where 3,202 students benefited.
He said he will continue being supportive to learners throughout his tenure.
Tong'i dismissed his rivals terming them idlers who are trying to seek support from constituents through the backdoor.
"My rivals should give me a break because I'm determined to work for the people who voted for me during the 2017 polls," he noted.
Those who benefited come from Keumbu and Kiogoro divisions respectively.
The legislator also appealed to residents to ignore propaganda being peddled about Deputy President William Ruto's integrity saying that he is not corrupt as the narrative has been.
"Residents should not trust information going round tarnishing DP Ruto's name. DP Ruto will be the next president," he added.
