A longest serving MP from Gusii region has been accused of being lazy.
Locals of Kitutu Chache North claimed that the 'ageing' area MP Jimmy Angwenyi is tired and should go home.
The angry residents said the state of roads is poor but, the MP is doing nothing to help.
"Mr. Angwenyi is old and we are begging him to go home in good faith. The state of roads in the constituency is bad despite him claiming to be the development-oriented MP," noted an angry local Peter Mogendi.
Stephen Okindo said feeder roads especially in Monyerero ward, Sensi and Marani area are impassable especially during this season the region is experiencing rains.
"We are forced to walk long distances because motorbikes can't access deep villages. The lawmaker must accept to retire because his old age is a hindrance to development," said Okindo.
Olpha Masese condemned the MP for refusing to retire yet he has grown old.
"We can't continue having Angwenyi as the MP yet there is no tangible development he is doing. CDF funds should be used appropriately to open up roads in deep villages to ease transportation of people and agricultural products to the market," she stated.
