The governor, however, noted that the President's effort to slay the dragon of corruption will not bear fruits unless he arrests and charges the big fish.

The county boss said that the state of the nation address by the president was commendable.

“All the great plans that President Uhuru has for Kenya, will be undermined if the spirit of goodwill by Kenyans is broken. Unless someone is arrested and charged within the next two days, all he has said in his State of the Nation speech will lose it’s value,” he said.

In his speech, President Kenyatta insisted that he will not sit back and watch a few individuals loot what belongs to the tax payer.

He insisted that transparency is the only way the Jubilee government can achieve its goals.

Uhuru, however, said he will not sack his cabinet secretaries because of pressure from the masses.

He assured Kenyans that he will put in place different measures to ensure corruption is a thing of the past.
