This follows denials from the Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju who early last week rubbished similar claims made earlier by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.

Tuju went ahead to dismiss a Parliamentary Group meeting that was scheduled for Tuesday, apparently to address the reported rift within the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led block.

However, in an interview with the Daily Nation on Saturday, the former Rarieda lawmaker  hinted that the party is actually going through a bigger problem than what is in the public domain, saying that the challenges facing the party were too big for a PG or a few retreats.

"We are mulling on whether to have a series of retreats with 50 MPs per event or hold one big retreat to last several days that will accommodate all 220 MPs, discussions are ongoing," he said.

Issues to be discussed will include the party's recent disagreement originating from latest political happenings, including reconciliations between the party leaders and their counterparts from the opposition.

''There are things that happen and there is not time to explain them, for example when the Deputy President and former Vice President William Ruto shook hands at the prater breakfast. That was a political moment that had not been foreseen. Its issues like that one that members might need an explanation on," he is further quoted.

Other agendas of the meeting, he noted, will include more explanations on the Big 4 Agenda so that the leaders can stop making uninformed remarks on the initiative founded by the President.
