An ODM allied governor has insisted that he will give deaf ears to his political rivals who are out to politicize his style of leadership.
Kisii County Governor James Ongwae argued that his political enemies should wait until 2022.
"I am not ready to engage the idlers who have nothing to do. Petty politics won't derail my work schedule to ensure Kisii residents have access to affordable health care, proper education for our children and good roads among other things," he said.
The County boss called on locals to ignore local politicians idling in the village spreading propaganda about the county government.
Ongwae requested his political enemies to give him humble time and peace so that he can continue serving the electorates.
"I don't wish to have any excuse in 2022 when I will complete my second and last term. My opponents should join hands with me and help me serve the people of Kisii County," he added.
He assured that in January 2019, county workers will sign performance contracts.
The ODM governor warned county workers against reporting to work late saying whoever who will be caught will be sacked and be replaced immediately.
He was speaking when he witnessed the signing of performance contracts between County Chief Officers and their respective County Executive Committee members on Tuesday at the county headquarters.
