Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has joined other leaders from the North Rift region in condemning the recent arrests of parastatal heads from the Kalenjin community.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Sudi said he fully supports the war on graft and the March 9 handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga but was quick to note that the handshake should not be used by a few individuals to preach politics of division within the Jubilee party.
Sudi who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto further said the current events are similar to the happenings of 2003 where public servants from one community were retrenched, demoted and declared redundant maliciously.
"With the current trend of these arrests and investigations someone can easily tell that Kalenjin community is targeted. The sole reason for this is to taint the community's image as corrupt people simply because their son William Ruto wants to be Kenya's 5th President," noted Sudi in the post.
"We cannot allow sacrificing careers of our sons and daughters just because of William Ruto's ambitions. They can go ahead and arrest Deputy President if they so dare!" he added.
The vocal Jubilee MP also challenged Director of Public Investigations George Kinoti to probe the multibillion Medical Equipment lease that has sen devolved units pay up to sh95 million annually.
