Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has confirmed that he has no plans of working with opposition leader Raila Odinga going forward.
Speaking on NTV’s AM Live on Tuesday morning, the Ford Kenya Deputy Party leader also noted that there are no chances of the party reuniting with Raila’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
Khalwale also took issue with Raila and his allies for allegedly soiling Deputy President William Ruto's reputation.
Addressing fellow panellist and former Gem lawmaker Jakoyo Midiwo, the former Kakamega gubernatorial hopeful bashed the side for always bringing up Ruto’s name, urging them to concentrate on important issues.
‘’Please wean yourself (Jakoyo) from William Ruto. We cannot be feeding Kenyans with William Ruto every time we come here. Accept that it is over between Ford Kenya and ODM, that it is over between Khalwale and Raila - Boni Khalwale. #AMLiveNTV @KenMijungu,’’ said Khalwale.
This comes amid an ongoing feud and bitter exchange between the two parties, following Ford Kenya Party Leader Moses Wertangula’s absence during Raila’s January 30 mock presidential inauguration.
The event that was done in Nairobi’s Uhuru Park was also snubbed by the National Super Alliance co-principals Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Wiper Party’s Kalonzo Musyoka.
Ford Kenya is also set to sue ODM over allegations of keeping all the funds meant for the four affiliate parties to itself (ODM).
