Kalonzo said that he personally made calls to the governors inviting them for the meeting but none turned up.

He observed that he called Makueni governor Kivutha Kibwana but found out that the governor told him he had traveled to Korea.

"I called Kibwana on Thursday evening, he told me he had traveled to Korea," said Kalonzo.

He went ahead to say that Machakos governor Dr.Alfred Mutua snubbed his calls.

"Mutua didn't pick my calls, I called him on Wednesday night and even in the morning of the function but he never picked," he said.

He said that Charity Ngilu told him that she would have attended the occasion but she feared being attacked.

He said that contrary to what the governors think he is not against the formation of the South Eastern Kenya Economic Block.

"I'm not against SEKEB, in fact, I support it I'm shocked to hear claims that I'm fighting it," he said.

He said that despite some governors not being present they are still Kamba and should be respected.

He even called for the pulling down of anti-Kibwana placards.

Kalonzo spoke during the Komarock Kamba meeting which was attended by many leaders from the region.
