The Secretary of Youth Affairs Anthony Kibagendi has cleared the air on possible political hatred between him and Kisii County Deputy Governor Joash Maangi.
Kibagendi, speaking on Tuesday in Kisii town after he paid a courtesy visit to Maangi's office, said he enjoys a good working relationship with the Deputy Governor.
"Despite the fact that we support different political outfit, it is important for the people to know that I have no problem working with Maangi. Things that happened in the past should be left in the present," he said.
He confirmed that he met with Maangi where they deliberated widely on the upcoming Rugby competition in Kisii County which will be held during the Easter weekend.
The former Kitutu Chache South MP hopeful reiterated that there is a need for leaders to drop their political differences and work for the people who elected them.
"The electorates expect a lot from us. I wish to challenge elected leaders to join hands and offer the best services to the people who elected them," he added.
The two leaders engaged in a scuffle publicly several months ago when Maangi tried to slap Kibagendi at Kisii sport club.
