The search for terror suspects who facilitated the Tuesday attack in Nairobi was taken to Kitui county on Saturday
Police arrested four people, one Kenyan national and three foreigners suspected to have links to terror.
According to Kitui County Police Commander Anthony Kamitu, the suspects were nabbed after a raid on two hotels at dawn.
The first suspect was arrested at the Parkside Villa Hotel as police suspected the British passport he produced was fake.
He led police to nab three others.
The first suspect, Muhudin Hassan, took police to the other three suspects whom he called his business partners in the petroleum sector.
At the second hotel, only one suspect, a Kenyan, could produce his identification card while the others failed to, this led to them being locked up as investigations began.
The three are 25-year-old Mohammed Abdi, Aris Mohammed (24) and Musa Abdukadir Ahmed (25).
"They have told us they are businessmen dealing with sale and distribution of petroleum products. This is yet to be established as only Musa Abdulkadir has Kenyan identity card" said the police boss, according to the Nation.
He added that the group will be handed to the anti-terror police for more interrogations.
This comes only days after Al Shabaab staged a siege on Nairobi's DusitD2 Hotel, killing 21 and injuring many others.
