A NASA affiliated MP from the Gusii region has opposed ODM party leader's calls to amend the constitution.
Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka, while speaking at Nyatieko area in his constituency on Wednesday said Raila Odinga should give Kenyans a break.
"There is no time and money for constitutional amendments as Raila is proposing. He has hit retirement age and I am urging him to go home and rest in peace," he said.
Mr. Onyonka claimed that Kenyans still have a burden of buying fuel at high prices after the Jubilee government imposed huge tax.
"Poor people can't afford to dig deep into their pockets for the constitution to be amended in favor of Raila because already prices of commodities such as fuel are high," he noted.
The lawmaker challenged elected leaders from Gusii region to stop sticking with Raila whose political styles are poor.
"We not ticks to continue sticking with Raila. Gusii leaders it is a new dawn for us to plan our future and not Raila's future," he added.
