At Gusii stadium on Friday, claimed that Maang'i's plan to use police to block Bosco from accessing the stadium hit the wall after police realized they could not manage to interfere with the event.

"This was a homecoming for our son who has spent five years in a Tanzanian prison without fair trail. Maangi's plan to use security officers to disrupt the meeting could not yield fruits," said Amos Omwega.

A bodaboda rider Zachary Manoti accused Maangi for being selfish.

"Bosco's grand return could not stop Maangi from being the deputy governor. He is egocentric and without doubt he can't succeed governor James Ongwae," he said.

Paul Ouru said police could have been in trouble if they tried to block Bosco's supporters from accessing the stadium.

"It is good Maang'i plan failed otherwise, it could not be business as usual. Bosco is our son and we must accord him due respect since he was in remand without fear trial. His return is not political but, was meant to thank God for intervening to have him freed from prison," said Ouru.
