S.K Macharia's Royal Media Services has hit back at critics over deceased presenter Joseph Mochere.
For weeks now, Mr. Macharia's Egesa FM has come under immense criticism for putting the slain presenter in probation for 2 years despite his prowess on air.
And at his funeral on Friday, through Radio boss Nancy Kwamboka, RMS defended it's approach on Mr. Mochere throughout the days he worked at the station.
"When he did well, despite being a drunkard, we gave him an opportunity to showcase his talent.
"He was greatful and even congratulated me for getting him out of night guard job. But human beings can never see that," she said.
According to her, unlike what the public says, the station paid Mr. Mochere for upkeep in the city.
"Those criticising us should even ask themselves why he kept coming to job if he was not paid. I have a family and I know he needed money in the city and he absolutely got that."
When Mr. Mochere, popularly known as Okebiro O'Mose committed suicide, his fans were surprised to find out that he stayed in a single room.
At Mosobeti on Friday, the popular comedian was laid to rest with fans turning out in large numbers.
