Migori Governor Zachary Okoth Obado has wished the County’s Women Representative Dr Pamela Odhiambo quick recovery after she was involved in an accident on Sunday morning.
Dr Odhiambo, and three others got various injuries after the accident occurred at Owinyo area, along Rongo-Homabay road when their vehicle veered off the road and rolled several times.
Fred Owich, the Women Rep’s driver died on the spot.
In a statement posted on his official Facebook page, Governor Obado wished all those involved in the accident quick recovery.
“On behalf of my family and that of the people of Migori County, let me take this opportunity to wish Migori County Women Representative Dr Pamela Odhiambo a quick recovery. Dr Pamela was involved in a fatal road accident along Rongo-Homa Bay road. It left her bodyguard dead. To the family of the deceased may God give you strength to overcome the loss,” he posted on his face book page.
“Let me also thank the County's Health department for timely provision of an ambulance for referral services to those who were involved in the accident. Pole sana,” added the County boss.
The Women Rep was on Sunday evening airlifted to Nairobi for specialized treatment, while the other passengers were admitted at the Agha Khan hospital in Kisumu.
