Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has warned that he won't hesitate to sack the Nairobi county nurses if they go ahead with the planned December strike.
Speaking on Wednesday to journalists, Sonko said that the strike call by the nurses' union was illegal since his county, he said, had complied with the signed CBA.
He warned that the county is ready to hire new nurses and that anyone who tries to involve in the planned boycott will be sent home.
"We have a good working relationship with nurses and I'm not intimidating them, but if they strike, I will be forced to sack them." - said Sonko

Sonko's warning comes days after the nurses' union issued a 21-day strike notice due to non-payment of service and uniform allowances.
The nurses will strike on December 10 over the Sh3bn perks row.
Meanwhile, the clinical officers are up in arms against NHIF policies. They argue that the policy has limited their scope of service provision.
The Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN) issued the strike notice after the ministry of health and the County governments failed to honour their agreement that was to ensure nurses get allowances; a thing that saw the union call off the strike in November 2017.
In addition, KNUN Secretary General Seth Panyako notes that the strike will only take place in counties that fail to honour the agreement.
