Ndeti commands a huge following in the region.

The former MP has, however, unsuccessfully contested for the Machakos gubernatorial seat twice in 2013 and 2017 losing to Governor Alfred Mutua.

Despite losing in the two hotly contested gubernatorial elections, Ndeti says she is not quitting politics any time soon.

Ndeti joined active politics in 2007.

She has made a name in the political circles.

Here are top positions in which Ndeti has served in the government:

1. Assistant Minister - Sports and Youth Affairs (2007-2012)

She was appointed an Assistant Minister by former president Mwai Kibaki in 2007 under the coalition government.

The former MP served in the position until 2012 when she declared an interest in the Machakos gubernatorial seat.

2. Kathiani MP

Ndeti was elected Kathiani MP in the 2007 general election on Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU) party.

3. Chairperson - Chama Cha Uzalendo (CCU)

Ndeti was among founders of the CCU and served as the party's chairperson in 2007.

4. Chairperson- PPLC

She served as chairperson of the Political Parties Liaison Committee (PPLC) between 2013 and 2017.

In 2017, she ditched her CCU party and joined Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper party.

She unsuccessfully contested for the Machakos gubernatorial seat in 2017.

Ndeti contested Mutua’s re-election at the Court of Appeal.

The appealant court then nullified Mutua's re-election in June 2018 on grounds that it was not free and fair.

Governor Mutua later appealed the ruling in the Supreme Court.

The case is pending hearing and determination.

Ndeti says her ambition to be Machakos governor is still alive.
