A section of Nyamiy residents have taken issues with County MP Jerusha Momanyi and Kitutu Masaba MP Shadrack Mose for their frequent attendance of DP William Ruto's functions.

On Friday at Chepsaita village in Eldoret, the two along with Kisii Deputy Governor Joash Maangi accompanied Ruto to the burial of Farouk Kibet's father.

"If this is how we solicit for development then we should go back to the old constitution. They have made a tendency of following Ruto to every function for unknown reasons," argued Fred Moseti.

Another resident Martha Makori added: "Development is initiated in parliament. If by following the DP everywhere he goes is the route to take, then someone doesn't know his or her obligations."

Last week, the two hosted Ruto at Kemera ward during the launching of Kemera-Kiendege-Gachuba-Girango-Keumbu road, a stretch of 12 kilometres.

And yet again, sources intimate that the two leaders will join other leaders from the larger Gusii at Bobasi constituency where the DP is expected to visit.

But in an interview, Mrs Momanyi dismissed claims that accompanying the DP will compromise her mandate as MP.

"The DP is our party deputy leader. Accompanying him is not a crime. After all we just went to condole with a party member."
