The weatherman has warned that North Eastern counties will continue to receive more rainfall this week.

The Kenya Meteorological Department said counties in North Eastern to be affected by increased rainfall include Garissa, Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir and Isiolo.

These areas are expected to receive rainfall for the next seven days from October 30 to November 5 2018.

Acting director Stella Aura in a statement said North Eastern will receive morning rains over few places.

“Northeastern counties are likely to experience morning rains over few places throughout the forecast period apart from Saturday. Afternoon/night showers are expected over several places on Wednesday and Thursday and over few places on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The remaining afternoons are likely to be sunny,” read the notice.

Nairobi, Nyandarua, Kiambu, Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang’a, Embu Kirinyaga, Meru, Embu and Tharaka Nithi will experience cloudiness with rains during morning hours with afternoon showers expected over few places during the first half of the forecast period.

According to the weatherman Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Baringo, Kisii, Nyamira and Migori will receive rains in the morning and afternoon over several places.

Other counties to be affected by rains include Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Bomet, Kericho, Elgeyo Marakwet, Vihiga, Busia, Nakuru, Laikipia and Nandi.

The Coastal region will however experience sunny intervals during the day with partly cloudy conditions at night during the forecast.

A few areas will experience morning showers between Wednesday and Friday.
