Just hours after local media reported her resignation, County Executive Committee member incharge of Finance Jackline Momanyi has dismissed the information as 'rumours'.

Director Public Participation Isaac Onyancha insisted that the first time executive has hanged boots for PSC job.

"There is nothing to defend here. The CeC  has resigned. She has shown that opportunities are not only in Nyamira," he wrote.

Ms. Momanyi has been struggling to stamp authority in the docket which has seen workers go without salary in the month of May and June.

But in a rejoinder, she was quick to dismiss the reports, challenging those 'spreading' the information to table resignation letter.

"I normally don't respond to cheap propaganda. But whoever saying so should table the resignation letter," she wrote.

But a source close to the governor, until the time of going to the press, said that the minister was locked in a meeting with the governor at his Riamanoti home.

Also, it is said that she tabled the resignation letter last week but the governor is yet to sign it.
