Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) George Kinoti has said that investigations into the alleged Sh20 Billion Arror and Kimwarer dam scandal is still going on.Kinoti states that his office is yet to complete investigation into the alleged multi-billion scandal.Speaking at Mkunguni grounds in Lamu county during the launch of Service week on Monday, Kinoti disclosed that more top government officials linked to the alleged dam scandal are expected to record statements with detectives.The DCI boss dismissed claims from a section of the media that he has forwarded the dams scandal files to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji.Kinoti revealed that the investigation into the alleged dam scandal is complex and requires adequate time and more expertise.The DCI disclosed that his office is seeking support from international partners to trace money allegedly swindled in the dams scandal."We are not rushing with investigations and we will forward the files to the DPP once we complete our probe," he told journalists on the sidelines of the Service Week in Lamu.Kinoti urged Kenyans to remain calm, adding that his office will not be intimidated.The DCI said that detectives are carrying out their work professionally.The investigation into the Arror and Kimwarer dam scandal has elicited political debate in the country.A section of politicians allied to Deputy President William Ruto is accusing the DCI of allegedly targeting certain individuals in the war against graft.The politicians are accusing the DCI of allegedly using the war on graft to block DP Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.The dams scandal debate has further dropped in opposition leader Raila Odinga who is trading barbs with DP Ruto over the ongoing war on graft.Treasury Cabinet Secretary (CS) Henry Rotich, Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa and his Agriculture counterpart Mwangi Kiunjuri have been probed in connection to the alleged Sh21 Billion dams scandal.#hivisasaoriginal
