Kenyans have taken to social to media to castigate the assault of Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Gedi by Wajir East MP Rashid Amin at Parliament buildings.
The assault ensued after Amin confronted Gedi who sits in the Budget Committee over little allocation of funds in his constituency.
The Wajir East MP is reportedly said to have punched Gedi twice on the face and left her bleeding. The MP has since been arrested.
Kenyans have termed the incident as shameful and uncalled for arguing that legal action should be taken against Amin.
Others have opined that any man who raises a hand against a woman is 'a contemptible coward'.
The incident comes weeks after Nairobi Governor Mike found himself on the receiving end after he verbally attacked Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris during Madaraka Day fete.
