As the fight against graft intensifies in the country, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has now revealed on the meaning of new Court of Appeal ruling.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap leader on Wednesday claimed the State can confiscate wealth from anyone who can't explain the actual source.
According to Mutua, the greedy fellows in the government has widened the gap between rich and poor.
"We are a country where some children sleep in mansions and others are walking around naked and shoeless because over the years, corruption, tribalism and misguided political decisions have allowed our money to be stolen by a few. This cannot be allowed to continue." Mutua noted in his official Facebook page.
This comes after ruling on former National Water Conservation and Pipeline Corporation Finance Manager Stanley Mombo Amuti.
In this case, the state was allowed to confiscate his wealth if he couldn't link to its source.
Mutua who has declared his interest on the presidential seat urged President Uhuru to the advantage of this ruling.
"With this new ruling, now President Uhuru can move with speed to take back unexplained wealth - homes, vehicles, helicopters, land, money hidden in basements etc so that the money reverts back to the state to support the Big 4 agenda," he added
