Titus Yoma has been transferred from his post as Kisumu County police Commander.
Yoma has been transferred to Garissa County, in the same capacity. He is to be replaced by John Kamau from the police headquarters in Nairobi.
Speaking to Hivisasa.com on phone, Yoma said he will hand over to his successor by Monday next week, before leaving to take up his roles in Garissa County.
Yoma said Kisumu is a nice place to serve, but not during electioneering period. “Kisumu is nice place to work, but things can easily change during heightened political activities,” he said.
He has been Kisumu County Commander since May 2016, when he replaced Nelson Njiiri who was appointed Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) security manager.
Yoma previously served as Mwea East Officer Commanding Police Division (OCPD), before being appointed Kisumu County Police Commander.
