A joke recently circulated online, that if you think money can’t buy happiness then transfer it to my bank account.
The truth is that life would be a lot harder without money, ask any poor person.
As much as money has been attributed to evil, there are still ways money can bring happiness:
1. Giving money to those in need
There are many fundraising initiatives that we often come across: school fees, medical bills or just someone in need.
When you give someone in need money, there’s often that sense of satisfaction that we usually feel, knowing that we have helped someone or touched their lives in one way or the other.
2. Meeting your basic needs
Being able to meet your needs provides a sense of dignity and a reason to look forward to tomorrow.
It takes money to do so, especially for those residing in urban areas.
Basic needs include house rent, food, and clothing, which are some of the things that helps one live a life of fulfilment.
3. Paying off your debts
At some point in your life, you may have borrowed money from someone or even a bank to meet a certain emergency.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, you may be unable to pay your debts, and the creditor can’t allow you a moment of peace.
However, when you finally get the money, and you can then let go of your creditor, you will finally breathe a sigh of relief.
