Uhuru is expected to land in Kisumu on Thursday, December 13, before again heading to the neighboring Siaya county the next day.

Speaking on Radio Maisha's 'Bunge La Maisha' Monday morning, Osiany claimed that the same will be a good impression, considering Uhuru's backyard.

He said that the trip will be a demonstration of his goodwill and willingness to keep his unification promise, and will diminish the political rivalry between Luos and Kikuyus.

"Hii ziara yake huenda ikarudisha maelewano ya kisiasa baina ya waluo na wakikuyu. (This is a good move that will restore political understanding between the two communities)," he said.

And with opposition leader and region's kingpin Raila Odinga expected to host Uhuru in the tour, the former Rongo parliamentary aspirant said that the nation is finally headed towards putting its bad history at bay.

He said that the two have demonstrated that they are ready to ensure the country is not divided based on ethical boundaries.

"Huenda wakamaliza vita vilivyoanzishwa na baba zao Jomo Kenyatta and Oginga Odinga.(They will finally put to rest the historical enmity)," he added.
