A job interview is an important aspect of any job hunting individual.

Is there a story unfolding in your community? Let Hivisasa know

This provides an opportunity to showcase your ability for that job you’re looking for and the lucky ones get their dream jobs.

There are several things you need to carry along with you when going to that interview, from copies of a Curriculum Vitae (CV), pen, notebook among other necessary documents.

However, there are other things that you should not carry when you’re going for that job interview.

They include;

Food

Whichever the situation or how hungry you easily get, carrying food with you is a no if you’re going to that job interview.

Shopping

Now, imagine showing up at the job interview with a bag of your shopping. It will give an impression that the interview was not your sole purpose of the day but something that you just fitted in between your other things. If you want to leave the impression that you really care about the job, do your shopping later.

Mobile phone

Definitely, you will have your phone when going to the interview but be sure to turn it off and put it in your pocket. The basic principle here is that interviewers need to be given full attention and checking your phone messages while the interview is on may end up costing you that job.

Parents

No matter how close you are to your mother or father when going for the job interview leave them at home, or in town if you must travel with them. You need to represent yourself to that potential employer.

Rival company’s product

If going for a job interview for example at Safaricom, don’t show up with Airtel’s product, you’ll surely not get that job, unless your plan is to discuss the competition between the two companies.
