Kibra MP Ken Okoth is responding well to cancer treatment in a Paris hospital, a member of Parliamentary Service Commission has said.

There was scare last month across the country when a section of social media users misreported about his alleged death, forcing him to respond from hospital bed.

“I'm alive and kicking. Folks should stop killing me before my time with rumours,” he said.

The second term MP is battling stage four cancer and has received several of his colleagues in Paris ever since he came out publicly about his health.

Aldas MP Adan Keynan on Tuesday said the hard-working legislator is responding well and posted a photo of him with two other MPs who visited.

"In Paris where we visited Kibra MP @okothkenneth who is recuperating at Gustave Roussy cancer campus, Grand Paris hospital. Quick recovery Hon. Okoth. You will surely overcome this," he wrote.

In the delegation were MP Naomi Shaban of Taita and Senator George Khaniri of Vihiga. The three legislators sit in the powerful Parliamentary Service Commission.

Mr Okoth is among top performing MPs and os credited for transformation of the constituency that harbours second world largest slum of Kibra.

Among his groundbreaking projects include the modern Mbagathi Girls High School and ongoing construction of Kibra High School which could be renamed Ken Okoth High School according to the suggestion by Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo.
