Lawyer Miguna Miguna, during the show JKL show, spoke about the plans during the time that former Prime Minister was going to be sworn in as the people's President outside Kenya.
The lawyer admitted that such a plan was in place as a plan B should it prove difficult for the swearing in to happen in the country.
Miguna said the idea of having swearing-in outside the country originated from the political history in the continent, where he gave an example of Adama Baru in The Gambia who won the election just a few months prior that time they were preparing to swear Raila but the President Yahya Jammeh had refused to leave power. Adama went to Senegal and was sworn-in via the Gambian Embassy.
Miguna says he gave Raila the option that should the swearing-in in Kenya prove to be difficult, he should ask for Tanzanian President John Pombe Maghufuli or Ghanaian President Akofo Ado to give an alternative venue in their country.
"I told Raila there is no reason why if we can't have you sworn in Kenya we cannot go to Tanzania. He had said Maghufuli and Akofo Ado, the President of Ghana, are his best friend, then he would talk to them.
Because between having hundreds of thousands of people being killed in Nairobi, if that was going to be and having you being sworn in a neighbouring country or another country, we would rather do that," Miguna added.
Miguna further said he had advised the opposition leader to form a cabinet and send them to the United Nations and African Union to get the international community support.
