The meeting held at a local hotel in Mwingi town was attended by Kitui Assembly Speaker George Ndotto.

Top on the meeting's agenda was Ngilu's push to convince the county legislators to approve the county's supplementary budget.

Kitui MCAs are yet to approve the supplementary budget, they accuse Ngilu of allegedly overseeing a corrupt administration.

Ngilu on the other hand is accusing MCAs of demanding for luxury trips and retreats to Mombasa.

The first term governor also accuses the MCAs of fighting her government politically.

The meeting is also said to have discussed the impeachment of Finance CEC Mary Nguli.

In 2018, the MCAs passed an impeachment motion against Nguli.

Sources who attended the meeting revealed that Ngilu and the MCAs failed to strike a deal.

Ngilu is said to be seeking Kalonzo's intervention on the matter.
