A woman who was arrested on Saturday morning at Bondeni estate in Eldoret town is today (Monday) expected to be arraigned in court to be charged for killing her husband.
According to police, the suspect identified as Melisa Muhinda aged 29 is alleged to have chopped her husband Geoffrey Matenje's body into pieces and stuffed it in a sack.
She was allegedly caught by neighbours as she attempted to go and dump the husband's chopped body.
Eldoret West OCPD Zachariah Bitok said the suspect will be arraigned in court to face murder charges.
"Our officers arrested her and locked her up at Eldoret West Police station cells. Investigations are complete and she will be arraigned in court today, Monday," Bitok told Citizen Radio on Sunday.
The OCPD said the suspect might have killed the husband after a domestic disagreement.
"She will tell the court what led her to kill her husband. Couples should use peaceful means to solve marital problems and not taking someone's life," he stated.
