Zari Hassan’s third born child Quincy on Monday wrote an emotional letter on Instagram addressed to his late father Ivan Ssemwanga.
Quincy who is believed to have been extremely close to his father expressed the pain of his absence and the fond memories that he still has of him.
“It hurts to think that you are not here anymore. Although I can’t help but smile with tears in my eyes to think of how we cherished each and every moment of our lives together when you were alive. Happy fathers' day in heaven Dad, I love you,” Quincy wrote on Instagram.
Ivan was married to Zari, who enjoys a huge fan base in Kenya before they divorced in 2013 on grounds of domestic violence. At the time of the divorce, they had three children with Quincy being the last born.
He got a stroke in May 2017 after which he died. Quincy is believed to have been the most affected by their father’s death as he has celebrated his late father severally on social media.
Zari Hassan has in the past tried to maintain close ties with her Kenyan followers. Last year in May, she toured Kenya where she hosted a mega event dubbed the Purple concert.
Many Kenyans also remember her for the drama that was caused by controversial Kenyan gospel singer Ringtone who came out to declare his love for the Ugandan business lady to the extent of buying her a range rover.
