Kenyan author David Maillu has expressed his intentions to meet new Safaricom CEO, Michael Joseph.
In a post on his Facebook account on Tuesday, Maillu noted that it would be hard for him to secure an appointment with the Safaricom boss hence his decision to seek for it through social media.
"Dear Safaricom Boss, Mr Michael Joseph, Acting CEO of Safaricom. Please, allow me to employ President Donald Trump’s means of public communication. Surely, you agree with me that you are unreachable to the ordinary person," reads part of the authors Facebook post.
He said he wanted to meet Michael Joseph so as to discuss an advertising idea that would help the telecommunications giants make huge profits.
The idea, Mailu noted, if put into action, would not only benefit local Safaricom consumers but also be the pan-African dream and the company would want to be identified with.
"Unfortunately, I was in the process of getting an appointment with the late Brother Bob Collymore when he passed on. I wanted to indulge the Safaricom with a crazy or extraordinary creative advertising idea capable of killing two birds with one stone," he noted.
The author who is known for writing popular books such as For Mbatha and Rebecca, Thorns of life among others now wants any Facebook user close to Michael Joseph to help pass a message to him so that he can secure the appointment.
