The legislator’s expulsion has been linked to gross misconduct.

He found himself in hot soup after Sh.56 million allegedly disappeared from the party's kitty after the August 8, 2017 General elections.

The lawmaker is being probed by the office of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti alongside Senator Petronila Were.

The Musalia Mudavadi-led political outfit on Wednesday wrote the Registrar of Political Parties over the move to expel the MP.

The party through its Secretary General Barrack Muluka has also written to the Speaker of National Assembly Justin Muturi and Clerk National Assembly Michael Sialai over the action.

The lawmaker now risks losing his parliamentary seat following the parties move.

“Godfrey Osotsi stands expelled from ANC. He is no longer a member of this party,” reads the notification as seen by Standard.

The party has now requested the registrar to ensure that the process of kicking out the lawmaker starts immediately. Osotsi has, however, said that he is yet to receive a formal letter from the political outfit. The committee of the party has faulted the lawmakers of wrongdoing before they were shown the door.
