A secret campaign model that will guide systematic campaigns in regions believed to be NASA’s strongholds and tossups will be launched this weekend.
High voter turnout in strongholds and taking control over the swing regions is among the top assignments Raila Odinga’s presidential campaign team is doing.
With Kisii and Nyamira used as control unit, organizers will this weekend traverse a number of wards where Odinga scored dismally in August 8 elections.
A Central Command at the national level will issue instructions to County patrons (NASA governors or volunteers depending on the county) who will coordinate a team of three comprising of Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer.
The team will then work with representatives of the senator, governor and Women Representative in case of NASA stronghold and constituency representatives.
Ward representatives will be draw who will be again tasked to look for at least 400 representatives from sub locations.
At the bottom of hierarchy, two polling station agents will be recruited who will in turn work with 20 poll watchers from every polling stations.
Already in the aforementioned counties, the structure has been put in place following several high level meetings.
The team will be tasked to be in communication with national control team in Nairobi for daily briefs and reports.
In Nyamira, a region believed to be an ODM stronghold, President Uhuru Kenyatta scooped 52 percent of votes, a move that has led to change of tactics from the opposition.
