Orengo is one of the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga-led side's legal representatives, and participated Odinga's successful petition against President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection in 2017.

Speaking on Radio Jambo on Wednesday evening, Wanga revealed that Orengo who is also a member of the bloc has been offering his services pro-bono without demanding anything in return.

"Kesi zote amekuwa akifanyia chama amezifanya bure bila kulipwa (he has been serving the party free of charge)," noted Wanga who is also a member of the Orange party.

She hit out a section of Kenyans and politicians opposed to Orengo's involvement in the legal team representing Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu who is facing corruption charges.

According to Wanga, Orengo should not be condemned as he is most likely again doing it free of charge and should not claim to be after the pay.

"Kuna uwezekano hata hii kesi ya Mwilu anaifanya pro-bono kwa hivyo watu wasidhani eti amevutiwa na mshahara (chances are that he is representing the accused without any pay and shouldnt, therefore, be accused of lust for money)," she added.

Mwilu's legal team also includes 31 other popular legal minds, including Senior Lawyer John Khaminwa and Makueni lawmaker Dan Maanzo.
