Garissa Township MP Aden Duale is among top politicians Deputy President William Ruto will be banking on to push his 2022 presidential bid, political analyst Peter Ngure has said.
The analyst says that Duale, a close ally, and confidant of DP Ruto is expected to lead the former Eldoret North MP's 2022 campaigns.
Ngure observes that Duale whose leadership as Leader of the majority has been outstanding has what it takes to spearhead DP Ruto’s campaigns.
He observes that the Garissa MP is fearless, confident and trustworthy.
“Aden Duale is among the few people DP Ruto trusts most and who will lead his 2022 campaigns,” he said on Friday.
The analyst claims that DP Ruto will suffer a blow if Duale was to decamp from his side. He said that 2022 political campaigns will be a matter of brains and numbers.
Ngure said that Duale has the tactics of wooing for numbers and that DP Ruto has a big advantage.
Duale has been quoted saying that 2022 will be a one-horse race.
He has also been quoted asking former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to pay the political he owes Ruto.
The Garissa MP claims that DP Ruto helped Raila to get the Prime Minister position in 2008 and that he should ‘return the hand’.
