Harambee Stars head coach Sebastian Migne has named a 24-man provisional squad that will play Ghana in a 2019 African Cup of Nations qualification match in March.
England-based David Sessay and Christopher Mbamba who plays in Sweden have earned their first ever call-ups to the national team. Mbamba was born in Zimbabwe to a Kenyan mother.
Captain Victor Wanyama, who has been struggling with injuries has also returned to the national team.
Five players have been named in the standby squad. They are Nicholas Kipkirui, Allan Wanga, Roy Okal, Clifton Miheso and Abdalla Hassan.
