Political analyst Herman Manyora has claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga could be working on a political formation ahead of the 2022 elections.

Speaking on Milele FM's 'Kivumbi Show' on Wednesday morning, the analyst added that among people who could find themselves in the lineup is Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.

The plan, Manyora observed, would be to retain calm in the Rift Valley region which currently seems largely allied to Deputy President William Ruto.

Coming at a time when some Uhuru's allies have been accused of sabotaging DP Ruto's bid, he said that the same could be an in-house plan to bar Ruto from the seat.

"If there exists such plan, then Gideon would be handed a top post to cool down fellow Kalenjins under the notion that they have one of their own in the government. This way, the government will have avoided a possible conflict with Kalenjins," Manyora said.

He further noted that this being an apparent regrouping season for political dynasties, then the soft-spoken lawmaker who is a son to former President Daniel Moi must be considered.

"He is also part of a dynasty and his fellow dynastic politicians cannot leave him out," insisted Manyora.

Forces linked to DP Ruto have since raised their worries about the union founded by the March 9 truce between Kenyatta and Odinga.

They have raised their suspicions about Raila, saying that he could be having evil plans. However, both leaders have maintained that their main reason for coming together is to enhance development and unity.
