ODM party has yet again suffered a huge loss after Appeals Court sitting in Kisumu dismissed Ugenya MP Chris Karan's victory.
This was the second attempt by Karan to defend his victory after losing a petition filed by his predecessor David Ochieng' who vied as an independent candidate.
In their ruling, the judges termed August 2017 elections as null and void adding that Karan benefited from perverted campaigns.
Mr Karani suffered a double blow as the judge ordered him and other respondents to pay Sh7 million in costs.
According to Ochieng', who had ditched ODM, Karan campaigned on the platform that former IEBC ICT officer Chris Msando was killed by him.
The ruling now means ODM will now have another challenge in defending the seat since it's unlikely that Karan, who was declared winner with a narrow margin, will move to Supreme Court.
