This was after one of Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana’s allies faced the wrath of angry mourners for allegedly 'disrespecting' Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Former Kibwana's chief officer for devolution, Musyoka Kivungi landed in a 'hot soup' after he rose from his seat to give a response to the differences between the two leaders.

The elders cautioned Kibwana against sabotaging Kalonzo’s leadership.

They asked the governor not to continue with the campaign against Kalonzo’s leadership.

The elders urged leaders from the region to effectively serve the locals instead of fighting Kalonzo ahead of 2022 polls.

“Let him not keep on attacking Kalonzo on grounds of his performance, Kalonzo has no kitty for development. Let the three governors work for the people, they have our taxes,” the elders said.

The county's former Speaker Stephen Ngelu said Kalonzo is not behind the frosty relationship between the county bosses and Members of County Assembly (MCAs).

The trio has been faulting the MCAs for what they term as being used to frustrate the current county governments.

Kibwana has maintained that he will not be forced to support Kalonzo’s presidency.

He has continued to face the wrath of Kalonzo's allies since he made the declaration.
