Mandera Governor Ali Roba has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga to extensively explain details of their famous 'handshake' to Kenyans.
Roba says that 11 months after the handshake, Kenyans have not been clearly told details about it.
Speaking to journalists in Mandera Town on Saturday, Roba said that Kenyans have a right to be told details of the handshake.
"President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga should tell Kenyans the plans they have in the handshake deal they signed in March 2018," the governor said.
Roba asked President Kenyatta and Raila to speedily implement on what they agreed so long it benefits Kenyans.
The Jubilee governor, however, said that Kenyans are happy with the handshake.
He said that political calm and stability has been restored since the handshake happened.
Roba asked elected leaders to take advantage of the political calm to advance development agenda.
The Mandera governor is serving his last term in office.
He has promised to deliver the promises he made to residents before the 2022 general election.
