Last year, Mr Odinga denied playing role in Wetangula's ouster as Senate Minority Leader, insisting that the decision was purely made by senators. He however offered to rescue the situation though in vain.

“The senators have expressed themselves frankly on this issue and Mr Wetang’ula, who has been the leader, has also had an opportunity to respond to the issues,” Mr Odinga told journalists after a meeting.

“We have agreed that senators will go on a retreat within the next 14 days and discuss issues regarding the operation within the Senate, how to deal with issues which have been contentious, and report back to the Summit in two weeks.”

Siaya Senator James Orengo replaced Wetangula, a move which caused jitters within NASA coalition. Mr Wetangula is on record for linking Odinga to his woes and even went on to castigate him in public.

But on KTN's Point Blank on Wednesday, Wetangula revealed that he has since forgiven Mr Odinga. He said that they have taken breakfast together and even watched matches together.

" We have met, we have had breakfast, we have had a drink, we have watched @Arsenal together, we have talked," said Wetangula, an indication that he has since moved on.

So nasty was the relationship between the two, that the ODM party threatened to kick out Ford Kenya MPs from various parliamentary committees. At one point, Kalonzo Musyoka offered to mediate between the two.

The fallout saw Wetangula briefly work with Deputy President William Ruto. However, he has since changed the tune and supported the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
