Jamaican reggae artist Richell Bonner, famously known as Richie Spice, has urged Kenyans to support the legalization of marijuana.
The artist is in the country to perform on Saturday in a show dubbed 'Nobody Can Stop Reggae ' concert at Kenyatta International Convention Center (KICC).
He said he is happy that legalization of marijuana is being discussed in Kenya, especially after Kibera Member of Parliament Ken Okoth, who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, sponsored a bill in parliament to discuss the same.
During a media briefing on Friday, the artist encouraged Kenyans to support marijuana legalization according to the nation.
"I just learnt that a minister (sic) here wants use of marijuana legalized, others should help him. I’m feel thrived for real to know that our people will be employed, you know there will be more jobs, we will get more medicine. These are very uplifting vibes for real, they give joy,” Richie Spice said during a media briefing on Friday.
Speaking at Kiss FM, he reiterated saying it brings a good vibe and was proud that Kenya is talking about it.
"it’s a good vibe. africa cannot let the world leave it behind. it is for medicinal purposes that the herbs provide. it’s a great movement and it makes me proud," said the artist in an interview with Kiss radio.
